Mayan Dog Rescue Foundation is a grassroots, international nonprofit focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing street and shelter dogs — while training them to become the best family dogs possible.

Our philosophy is simple: Food. Love. Shelter. Real-world socialization and daily structure.

Since 2017, we’ve rescued and re-homed hundreds of dogs from Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States. Many of these dogs came from the most extreme conditions — abandoned, abused, or injured. We don’t just save them — we rebuild them.

What makes us different? We don’t use treat-based tricks, crates, or shock collars. We use real-world exposure, off-leash training, and immersion with a balanced pack to create grounded, social, emotionally stable family dogs.

We create family dogs. That’s all we do.
